Capabilities Statement

MMT is a firm with a diverse team of professionals led by a director who is committed to providing top-notch services to clients. The team comprises six experienced freelance consultants with over 15 years of experience each, as well as several highly skilled fieldworkers. The consultants possess a wealth of knowledge and expertise in various fields, including agriculture, livelihood, microfinance, health, natural resource management, socioeconomic development, gender studies, statistics, and business management. The firm’s strength lies in its ability to leverage the collective expertise and experience of its team of consultants, trainers, and fieldworkers.

MMT Consult has been involved in a range of evaluation assignments across Ethiopia. One of the projects that MMT has undertaken is the development of a Five-Year Strategic Plan for the Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFDA). The plan outlines the organization’s objectives and strategies for the period 2024-2028. Another project in which the manager of MMT Consult has involved is the Baseline Study for Shaggar City Administration. This study aimed to assess the current situation in Shaggar City and identify areas for improvement.
MMT also compiled and translated an Alternative Voluntary National Review (VNR) and Report on child-led Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The report aimed to provide an alternative perspective on Ethiopia’s progress towards achieving the SDGs, with a particular focus on child-led initiatives.
The manager of MMT Consult was also involved in a Qualitative Impact Assessment of the Global Project Responsible Land Policy (GRLP) in Ethiopia. This project aimed to assess the impact of the GRLP on land governance in Ethiopia and identify areas for improvement. In addition, MMT conducted a Rapid Assessment on WASH and Waste Management Situation/System of Health Care Facilities in Addis Ababa in Selected Health Centres and Hospitals. The assessment aimed to identify gaps and challenges in the provision of WASH services and waste management in health care facilities.
Finally, the manager of MMT consult led Third (3rd) Annual Performance Assessment of 61 Cities and 2 Regions in Oromia (38 Cities) & SNNP (23 Cities) Participating in the Urban Institutional and Infrastructure Development Program (UIIDP) for Allocations for EFY 2014 (2021/22) Synthesis Report. The assessment aimed to evaluate the performance of cities and regions participating in the UIIDP and develop recommendations for improvement.
